doesn’t have time to ask these questions she’s too busy paying the rent by doing shampoo commericals and guesting on shows like mad about you she’s too busy fund raising so she can pay cast and crew and give free theater to the community she’s too busy sharing her art with anyone who wants it with any stranger who comes to hancock park to stroll amongst the summer trees and follow her roving shakespeare company with any child who wants to participate in her workshops with maximum security youth offenders with whom she produces othello and brings the self-named “thugs in tights” to spaces at lacma or the getty to perform their work as far as i can tell deborah faust is too busy living art to worry about defining it |
